How do fast food myths get started?

i always hear about a ton of fast food myths that are so gross... but who makes them up? Where do they come from? please help!

1. Well, I don't know about fast food, but I found a chicken beak in my middle school chicken nuggets once, so I can't imagine the fast food myths being that far off.
