What are some popular Ancient Greek Myths and where can I gain more information?
My school is doing a production of the play Metamorphoses and we need some myths that can be simply acted out as transitions between scenes

- the odysessy , the illiad by homer.
- Aesope's myths are good ones. Like the one with the hare and the turtle. The two had a race and the hare was so sure of himself winning that halfway through the race he stopped for a nap so the turtle overtook him and won. The moral thing of this is never to underestimate your opponent or you should not be arrogant.
- Some of the Greek myths are: (1) The man who rolls a great rock to the top of a hill, and when he reaches the top after great effort, the rock rolls back to the bottom again, and the events repeat themselves endlessly. (2) The dragon that has many heads breathing fire, and when one head is chopped off, it grows back again. (3) The fighting hero, whose only vulverability is his heel, which kills him when penetrated by an arrow. (4) The king who has the ability to turn everything he touches into gold.
- Orpheus and Eurydice is my fav. He loves her but she gets bitten by a snake and dies. He goes down into Hades to get her back. He plays music so beautifully he is allowed to go where no one has, gets her back, she follows him out, but he is not to look back for her until they are out of Hades - he does, she's gone forever, the end
